TL;DR
Logitech's Pro X Superlight is a seriously light (63g) wireless gaming mouse that feels great in hand, offering excellent responsiveness and comfort for long sessions. Its tactile buttons and precise scroll wheel are a win, though the setup requires Logitech software for best performance, and the overall software experience isn't as polished as the hardware. Battery life is a bit disappointing at 70 hours, and it comes with a premium price tag. If you prioritize an ultra-light, accurate gaming experience and don't mind the battery life or cost, this could be your next favorite mouse. Want to know if it's the perfect fit for your setup? The advantages of a lightweight gaming mouse are often underestimated. A lighter mouse can reduce strain on joints during extended gaming sessions, potentially improving reaction times and overall performance. We have previously reviewed several lightweight mice, and now we examine Logitech’s flagship offering in this category: the Pro X Superlight Wireless Gaming Mouse.

Upon unboxing the Pro X Superlight, its remarkably light weight is immediately apparent. The significance of its 63-gram weight becomes truly noticeable in hand. The underside features a removable hatch, which conceals the USB dongle (the wireless transmitter and receiver). Initial connection is seamless; however, relying solely on the operating system’s default settings proved insufficient for optimal performance. The cursor exhibited slow and erratic movement. After downloading and installing the software from Logitech’s website, more granular control over settings became available. Despite the improvements, the software experience suggests that Logitech, similar to Sony, excels in hardware design more so than software development – a sentiment echoed in our review of the StreamCam.

The buttons offer a comfortable and tactile experience, suitable even for users with larger hands. The ambidextrous design caters to both right- and left-handed users. The scroll wheel provides precise and firm control, while the side buttons are strategically positioned to prevent accidental presses, a common issue with some competing models.

The Pro X Superlight exhibits excellent responsiveness. Despite its low weight, it maintains a solid and substantial feel, avoiding any sensation of flimsiness. Testing commenced with Terminator: Resistance, a game demanding focus, accuracy, and speed. The Pro X Superlight performed admirably, allowing for extended gameplay without causing hand fatigue.
The Pro X Superlight features a pleasant, matte finish. For enhanced grip, optional black rubberized adhesive labels are included.

The manufacturer claims a battery life of up to 70 hours, which we found somewhat underwhelming. While the mouse can be used during charging, the relatively short battery life for a wireless mouse is a notable drawback.
In conclusion, the Pro X Superlight stands out as a highly capable gaming mouse. Its accuracy and lightweight design contribute to enjoyable and precise gaming experiences. However, the shorter battery life and relatively high price point are potential downsides to consider.
