These include the Belmonts from Castlevania, SEGA’s Sonic, Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter, Pokémon, and even Joker from Persona 5. Weaponry consists of recognizable Nintendo items such as the Fire Flower from Super Mario Bros., Pikmin figures, and Lip, all appearing as assist trophies or “Spirits.” Players can engage in battles against friends, the computer, or online opponents, and a single-player mode allows players to unlock new characters, Spirits, and weapons through an expansive adventure. The game is a celebration of Nintendo history and retro gaming.
